Abstract:

With the aid of a non-point-source-pollution-of-rural-domestic-waste prediction model, loads of various rural domestic waste in pollution of the Paihe River Valley were reckoned and measures to solve the problems were brought forth. In 2014, the valley turned out a total of 45521.92 t of domestic waste, of which 23136.14 t was lost untreated, contributing 73.77 t of TN, 5.05 t of TP, 514.89 t of TOC and 680.01 t of COD to the environment. Among the administration regions (town, township or district) in the valley, Shangpai Town ranked first inpollution loading, contributing 35.01 t of TN, 2.40 t of TP, 244.33 t of TOC and 322.69 t of COD into the river water, and 47.45% to the total pollution load of rural domestic waste in the valley, and Nangang Town was in the end, contributing 1.11 t of TN, 0.08 t of TP, 7.72 t of TOC and 10.20 t of COD into the river water and 1.50% to the total. Shangpai Town is the main contributior of non-point source pollution of rural domestic waste in the Paihe River Valley, because it is most densely populated region and in most cases, the rural domestic waste collection rate and the percentage of the waste lost into the river does not vary much from region to region.
