Abstract: The field long term location testing method was used for the study of the mineralization, accumulation and balancing of soil organic matter in corn field with fertilization and plastic film covering. The results of the study showed that the mineralization rates of soil organic matter varied from 1.07% to 4.38% in field condition. Fertilization and plastic film covering have been proved in the study to be good for the accumulation and balancing and can increase the mineralization rate of soil organic matter. In the study, net accumulation of soil organic matter had been occurred in all the treatments except the control. It has been predicted that continuing stable application of organic fertilizers for years could significantly improve the balance of organic matter in soil.
