The differen structures of soil animal communitites and their effects on soil nutrients have been investigated and studied in non-tillage violet soil paddy field ecosystems. The results show that paddy soil non-tillage cropping system is beneficial to the growth and reproduction of soil animals, and is also helpful to the improvement of soil chemical properties. The results also indicate that the average density of soil animal in non-tillage ridge cultured soil is the highest,in conventional tillage ridge cultured soil the second,in non-tillage level cultured soil the third, and in conventional tillage level cultured soil the lowest. The contents of available N,P,K and organic matter in non-tillage soil are all higher than that of in conventional tillage soil.

The four-in-one model courtyard ecosystem in Northern Liaoning includes four components:sunlight greenhouse, warm pig house, toilet and biogas digester. The results of the study indicate that the four-in-one courtyard ecosystem has a good function on temperature raising and maintaining. The energy efficiency of this ecosystem is much better than that of a single sunlight greenhouse, and it creats a better environment for planting and breeding.keeps the biogas digester runing well in winter.

The comprehensive benefits of 23 multicomponent-multiple cropping patterns of Along Changjiang River Economic Zone in Jiangsu are evaluated in three aspects:cereal yield increasing, return increasing and labor saving. The results indicate that for the development of intensive.high-efficient and sustainable cropping systems in this Zone, the labor saving multiple cropping patterns consisting of cereal crop, feed crop, cash crop and vegetable crop are suggested. The paddy field and the upland in those cropping patterns are based on spring corn-rice and centred on spring corn respectively.

Biodiversity conservation depends largely on a sound legislation in both international and national levels.China has promulgated a series of laws and regulations concerning biodiversity conservation.By the enforcement of those laws and regulations, great achievements have obtained. However, deficiencies and gaps are still existing. In this paper, the present status of biodiversity conservation legislation in China has been summarized. In view of the existing problems and on the basis of the Convention of Biological Diversity.the demands of improving and enhancing of the legislation system have been described in three aspects: ecosystem, species and genetic diversity.
