The design of the project " Benign Cycle of Rural Ecosystem and Systematic Management of Shanyi Village near Xi-aoslian City, Zhcjiang Province" and its main achievement in scientific research have been briefly summarized. It is an universal problem for the rural areas situated in the south side of Changjiang river (water net region ) where farmland and living energy arc insufficient, however, pollution and population growth are explosive. Measures for solving the above problems include systematic analysis and plan ning for above mentioned factors such as population, resources, energy, food, economy and cco-cnvironincnt. With these measures, it is possible to keep the rural cco-systcm in sustainable development and harmonious growth in economical, ecological and social benefits.

The principles and mainpoints of the scheme of industrial structure ordination in Shanyi village were introduced. The ofdination is based on analyses different level of industrial structure, historical evolution trends, superiority of resources in division and in whole village. The negative entropy of industrial strcture were calculated. The value of entropy before ordination is higher than that after ordination. Teh feasibility of the scheme has been evaluated.

Ecological damage is one of the most serious environmental problems facing to us. The purpose of the research is to evaluate the economic loss caused by ecological damage. Based on analyzing environmental presentsitua-tion of typical ecological regions, the appraised technology and analysis method for the economic loss were proposed. Theecological damage and economic loss value of the 11 provinces in China, i. e. Guangdong, Hainan, Yunnan, Shichuan,Jiangxi, Shaanxi, Shandong, Gan.su, Qinghai and Ningxia, in 1986 were analyzed and estimated. It is assessed thatthe total lossvalue of these provinces is 340. 18×108 RMB yuans, which reflects the degree of ecological damage in 1986. At last, systematic cluster analysis, compostional analysis and distributive analysis were carried out.

The extent of ecological damages of China is divided into 5 grades. It was estimated that 13. 8% of the territory in China belongs to no-damage grade. The moderately damaged areas constitutes to 42. 9%. The seriousdamage grade account for 3. 9%. It is concluded that the heavy destructive lands are caused by the cultivated land use of the secondary and tertiary industries. The next causes are forest destruction and soil erosion. The seriously damaged area are mostly distributed in the North China. The graphs of ecological damaged grade in China are also charted. They can directly reflect the level and distributive pattern of ecological damages in China.

It has been defined clearly by a systematic research work onapple snail for 7 years: 1. That apple snail has a very high produvtive potential for crude protein, the yield of fresh snail reached to 120180 kg/ha, the proportion of meat and viscera by weight makes up 64. 4% and the crude proteincontent accounts for 9. 65%, with crude protein productivity is 7500kg/ha, 2. It has been also foundthor the critical temperature for survival is 2℃. Except the southern China where the mean temperature in winter is higher than 8℃ .environmental disasters of the animal will not occur, and the breeding of apple snail is regarded to be safe.

In this paper, multiple objective linear programming has been applied to optimize the agricultural production structure for Erling township of Danyang county. Three kinds of agricultural production system were studied according to their developing directions. They were: "the Integrated Pattern", "The Grain-Sericulture Pattern" and "the Sericulture Pattern". Based on the system analysis, three mutiple objective linear programming modelhave been estab lished. The optimizing operations showed; according to thcconcrete conditions of Erling township,the three kinds of model could be adopted for different situations, the optimizing operations provided scientific basis for the decision of agricultural strategies for Erling township to obtain the best economic, ecological and social benefits. The optimized results of three kinds of models could increase the economical income of Erling townchip by 19. 6%, 28. 8%and45%respectively.

Effects of isofenphos-methyl and other three pesticides on soil respiration and their safety evaluations , using closed or direct absorption method have been studied. The results show that these pesticides have little ef f ea on soil respiration, and belong to low poisonous pesticides.

Through regional investigation and site analyses, typical chinampa systems in Maoming city of Guangdong province were studied. Apart from the common chinamapa system model, there arc the traditional tiny fish pond model and fish-livestock-fruit model. Traditional tiny fish pond model can make good use of the favourable conditions of the forest area, and vegetables and other crops arc planted by pond. It is easy to manage the tiny pond, and the fish yield is often above 1000kg/inu. At present, deforestation and water pollution arc the two major factors to retard the development of this system in the studied area. Fish-livestock-fruit integrated system has a close material cycling, which has a good social, economical and ecological benefit.

The residual dynamics of S-7802 pesticide in rice and paddyfield was studied in Sichuan during 1988-1990. The results showed that S-7802 pesticide degraded rapidly in rice and paddy field and more than 90 %was degraded within 7 to 9 days after application with rate of 100 g a. i/mu. Thehalflife of S-7802 degradation was 2 days in rice. The maximum of s-7802 residue in rice was less than 0. 5 ppm used at 75 g a. i. /mu for 1 to 3 timesduring the experiments periods.

This paper reviewed the application of agricultural chemicals in protecting crops from ozone damage. The mechanisms of increasing plantsresistance to ozone by these chemicals in agricultural practice are summarized. It is proposed that the appropriate use of agricultural chemicals is aneffective measure to reduce the impacts of photochemical oxidants on agricultural crops.

Based on detailed interviewed data of 50 ecoloigcal experimental farms in Shaoxing, Deqin and Changshan counties of Zhejiang province, effects of 5 data transformation methods and original data on averages, maximum and minimum values, standard deviations and standard errors of the indices at three hierarchical levels and on results of cluster analysis were studied. The results indicated that the characteristic numbers became much smaller, disparities of differences and discrete estent of the values among the indices effectively were reduced. Results of cluster analysis using transformed data were more effective and satisfactory than that using original data. Data transformation with OXi-Xmin/ (Xmax-Xmin) was most effective among the methods studied.

The agricultural targets of many years in Qingjian county are analyzed with the grey clusteing method in this paper. The results show that the ecological environment which the agriculture depends on has been deterio rating, for example, poor soilproperties, low fertility, soil and soilerosion, forest destruction, drought and backward capital construction on farmland, and that the cultivation is still on the old extensive way. All theseunfavourable factors refard the agricultural development.
