Abstract: On the basis of the ecological evaluation system for mountainous regions of Beijing, the criteria and grades were defined for evaluating stability of the mountain ecosystem with reference to relevant materials and the reality of Beijing. Proper methods were chosen to determine hierarchical relations and importance of the evaluating factors. And on such a basis a model for comprehensive evaluation was erected, and tested on a typical mountainous region of Beijing. The results basically conformed to the reality.
