Abstract: Discharge of untreated organic wastewater and human and animal wastes may cause serious environmental pollution and waste of resources. Using algae culture technology to treat those wastes could not only improve the environment but produce large amount of high quality algae products as well. The characteristics, the utilization and the prospects of the technology have been introduced and discussed in detail.
