Abstract: Besides of the main function of conserving natural resources and the environment, nature reserves generally have many other functions such as providing bases for scientific research, conservation publicity and public education and acting as demonstrations for sustainable use of resources. The designing and division of the functional zones of Changbaishan Mountain Biosphere Reserve on the bases of the management objectives of the Reserve had been completed and are expounded in the paper. The effects of integrated function of the Reserve for conservation, research, publicity, education and sustainable utilization are also revealed. The management experience of the Reserve could be a good reference for the other reserves of the same category.
