Abstract: The most important aspects in the assessment of ecological environmental quality of green food growing areas are to determine the optimum monitoring plan and to work out the assessment standards and assessment methods. The present adopted Outline seems to ask for too many monitoring spots and some of the assessment standards and methods are not quite appropriate. Comments on revision and improving of the Outline have been put forward in this paper so as to raise the scientification and the applicability of the asaesament Outline in China.
