Abstract:
On the bases of a servey of the physical and chemical properties of agriculture in a rare-earth tailing heap of a closed mine in Jiangxi Province, an experimental study has been taken from 1988 to 1994 for comparison of Prunus salicina and Citrus unshiu planting in rare-earth tailing heaps. The method used in the experiment was planting without soil mulching and non-irrigation. The results of the study showed that Prunus salicina grew well on rare-earth tailing heap, the fertility of soil and the eco-environment have been improved and the income of farmers has been increased.
