Abstract: The effects of alfalfa on soil structure, moisture, nutrient content and salinity in the low plain of Heilonggang, the water deficit and salinised area, were studied. Alfalfa plays an important role in improving soil eco-environment and bringing about a sound cycle in the grassland ecosystem.
