Abstract: This paper discusses the development history of the evaluation of nature reserves during the latest 30 years. Moreover the several main components and some basic concepts regarding the evaluation of nature reserves have been introduced, and the shortcomings and problems existed in the evaluation of nature reserves have also been analyzed.
