Abstract: On the basis of field surveys to Tongguling Nature Reserve in Hailand Island,the technological approaches that can take the advantage of tropical natural conditions am! utilize the natural resources reasonably and sustfiinably, were proposed in the paper in order to deal with the main problems existed in the management of the reserve . The main idea of the technological approaches is to establish a comprehensive production system in which the biogas production operates as a central linkage integrating with such production components as cul’ivation. breeding, processing industry and human’s living energy. This production system will improve the productivity of the degraded lands distributed in the buffering zone of the reserve and its surrounding area,and increase the benefits of economy,social and environment .Thereby, it will promote the effective management and conservation for the core zone of the reserve.
