Landscape Ecology and Its Application in Agricultural Landscape Ecology Planning

The development of the landscape ecology provides the landscape ecology planning with some promising theories,methods and technical means. Beginning with the basic principles of landscape ecology,its application to agricultural landscape ecology planning has been elaborated. It is held that the planning of agricultural landscape should not only consider“land use”,“land fertility”and man’s short term needs on landscape,but also focus on the aesthetic and ecological values and man’s long term needs. The ultimate goal of the planning of agricultural landscape ecology is to create an integrated regional ecosystem that may enjoy sustainable development. For further analysis,Baoying County in the north of Jiangsu Province is taken for case study.
