Study on degradation and residue of isoproturon in the soils and wheat

  • Residue and degradation characteristic of isoproturon in the wheat and wheat field soils were studied for ayear at two places. The results of experiments showed that isoproturon was degraded fast in the wheat plants and soils,the halflife of isoproturon was 3~4 days in the wheat plants,and 8~14 days in the field soils.The residue levels in thewheat seeds were lower than 0.04 mg/kg by the wheat harvest,and below MRL that is suggested 0.5mg/kg,when25% isoproturon was applied to the wheat fields at 7.5 kg/hm2 in next February.
