Study on index system for quantitative assessment of progress in the fulfilment of Taixian county environmental protec-tion strategic objectives for the year 2000

On the bases of Taixian county environmental protection strategic obectives for the year 2000, the indexsystem for quantitative assessment of progress in the fulfilment of the objectives has been selected and defined in accordancewith the representativeness,scientific reliability,policy guidance and operativeness of the indexes. There are 17 indexesincluded in the system,and the whole system could be divided into four sections: industrial pollution control,town envi-ronmental quality,agricultural eco-environment quality and economic development. The scoring method for periodical as-sessament has been advanced.
