植物种群的自然稀疏法则

SELF-THINNING RULE IN PLANT POPULATION

  • 摘要: 自然稀疏法则描述在对数座标系上种群密度按植物平均重的-3/2乘方减少的过程。它是单纯同龄植物种群中普遍存在的生物学法则。本文介绍了该法则的基本内容,讨论了立地条件和光照对它的影响,从理论上证明了在森林种群中该法则的乘方应大于-3/2的绝对值,给出了自然稀疏时期与种群生长早期的联系。论文最后指出了影响自然稀疏进程的生物学及生态学因子。

     

    Abstract: The self-thinning rule, a universal biological law in an even-aged plant population, describes decreasing processes of population densities at -3/2 power of plant mean weight on log-log graph. In the paper, the author introduced the basic contents of the rule, discussed effects of site and shading on the rule, and proved theoretically that the power of the rule must be larger than an abs?lute value of -3/2 in the tree population. The author also noted the relations between the densities at the density-dependent mortality stage and at the early growth stage of population. The biological and cclolgical fas tors influencing the process of the self-thinning were discussed.
