Preliminary Study on the Causes of the Endangerment of Abies Yuanbaoshanensis

  • Abies yuanbaoshanensis is an endangered tree species which distributes only in Yuanbaoshan Mountain, Rongshui County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It has been found that the endangerment of Abies yuanbaoshanensis is mainly caused by climate changes. In addition, the ecological environment of the community, the human activities and the low seed germination percentage are also important causes to the endangerment of the species. It has been suggested the while taking strict measures for the conservation and management of the existing habitats, artificial supplementary regeneration should be lunched and reforestation of Abies yuanbaoshanensis trees should be implemented in appropriate habitats.
