Abstract: A brief and comprehensive discussion was made to the method of calculating industrial input in agroecosystem studies in China. Simplified practicable procedure and factors were recommended for analysis of industrial energy input on the bose of the recent situation of production and relevant information of the cuntry. More attention were given to the trouble-some problems in calculating energy cost by machinery, field operation and irrigation with appropriate analysis, information and discussion.
