Abstract: The adjustment of cropping system and its effect in Qiuzhuang village were analysed. The results showed that the tension of water resources shortage in Heilonggang region can be alleviated by properly reducing grain crops, expanding the area of cotton and orchard, carrying out the comprehensive development of grain, cotton and fruits. The economic income can be greatly raised by increasing the yield of grain and cotton. Intensive farming with high yield had good results of resources utilization.The orientation of cropping system adjustment in this region was also discussed.
