Abstract: The correlations between n-octanol/water partition coefficient and aqueous solubility of pesticides were studied. The pesticides stu’died include 103 kinds of organophosphorus, organochlorine and carbamate insecticides, herbicides, fungicides etc.. The results show that good linear relationships are found between n-octanol/wa-ter partition coefficient and aqueous solubility for all pesticides except fungicide. The correlation equation for all pesticides, covering more than ten orders of magnitude in both aqueous solubility (from 10-4 to 106) and partition coefficient (from 10-3 to 107),allows aqueous solubility and partition coefficient coverse each other.
