Abstract: The major climatic factors affecting atmo-spheric pollution were determined by analyzing the routinelyobservational data of weather stations and applying the meth-ods of fuzzy clustering analysis and the climatic index of pollu-tion, which shows the capacity of accommodating atmospherepollutions to classify the pollution as 5 areas of climatic type inthe province. The results showed that the central area has thestrongest capacity of accommdating atmospheric pollutants,the north, east and south.areas which account for about 3/5 oftotal areas of Henan Province are relatively strong.The westmountain areas is the weakest.
