Abstract: With a view of soil conservation and farmerssocio-economic situation.an assessment of orchard terrace hasbeen made The conclusion is that the terrace has function ofsound soil and water conservation.but also has its limitations.The function of vetiveria spp belt interplanting and grass covered hill-side ditch is similar to terrace in soil and water conservation,and can also elimilate the limitations of terrace function.
