Abstract: The status quo of the investment in and revenue of the nature reserves in China and related problems were reviewed on the basis of the data gathered through surveying literatures and issuing questionnaires. The investment in the nature reserves is far from enough to meet their demand while their capability of creating revenue is rather limited. Therefore, increasing investment from the central and local governments is the fundamental measure to solve the problem of fund shortage. It is recommended that the national government to establish special funds and open up new financial channels to support construction and management of the nature reserves. Meanwhile,to promote businesses in the reserves,to perfect and implement the policy of ecological environmental compensation fees,to work out favorable tax policies and intensify supervision and management of the finance of the nature reserves are also strongly suggested.
