Abstract: Excessive agricultural nutrient losses not only lead to the waste of natural resources but contribute a large share to the environmental pollution, especially water quality deterioration. In recental years a series of environment management methods have been widely practiced in European countries to encourage farmers to adopt more environmentally friendly farming systems and to limit their nutrient input to the agricultural ecosystem in order to mitigate nutrient pollution of ground and surface water. These methods were introduced in this paper for our reference.
