Abstract: Based on the greenhouse gas Inventory reference manual,this paper calculated the methane emitted from Chima’s livestock manure.The emission was 1.198 Tg in 1990 and in-creased 75 % from 1970 to 1990 Covered lagoons and biogas generators were proposed to mitigate the methane emissions of livestock manure. Using of these two technologies can not only reduce methane emission, but also get environmental and economoc benefits.
