Evaluations on Multicomponent-Multiple Cropping Patterns and Their Comprehensive Benefits of Along Changjiang River Economic Zone in Jiangsu

Abstract: The comprehensive benefits of 23 multicomponent-multiple cropping patterns of Along Changjiang River Economic Zone in Jiangsu are evaluated in three aspects:cereal yield increasing,return increasing and labor saving.The results indicate that for the development of intensive.high-efficient and sustainable cropping systems in this Zone,the labor saving multiple cropping patterns consisting of cereal crop,feed crop,cash crop and vegetable crop are suggested.The paddy field and the upland in those cropping patterns are based on spring corn-rice and centred on spring corn respectively.
