Abstract: The results of reclamation experiment on weathered coal gangue hills showed that the planting of green manure forage grass is beneficial to the improvement of eco-environment of coal gangue hills showed that the planting of green manure forage grass is beneficial to the improvement of eco-environment of coal gangue hills and could result in higher biomass production, that is because it increases the N,P,K contents as well as microbial population in coal gangue hills, decreases the salt content in the surface layer of the hills, improves the moisture, air and thermal status of the hills and accelerates the coal gangue weathering rate.

Key words: coal gangue, green manure forage grass, eco-environment
