Comprehensive Techniques Towards Sustainable Agriculture in Sandy Soil Areas Along the Lower Reaches of Changjiang River in Jiangsu Province

Abstract: Based on the production experience and the results of located experiments in sandy soil areas along the lower reaches of Changjiang River in Jiangsu Province, the comprehensive techniques towards sustainable agriculture, i.e developping multi cropping system, practicing rotational tillage, improving soil fertility with foliages or wheat and rice stubbles, adopting labor saving and high efficient cultivating techniques, are suggested in this paper. It is of great significance to the sustainable agriculture development in lower or middle yield regions in China.
