Abstract: Currently there are two methods for evaluating or appraising eco environmental benefit of forest resources.One is the forest resource environmental effect evaluation method and the other the contingent value evaluation method.Either one has its own advantages and disadvantages.However,case analysis revealed that the evaluation value by the former is much higher than by the latter.The cause of the difference between the two methods is elaborated herein.
