Abstract: The extent of ecological damages of China is divided into 5 grades. It was estimated that 13. 8% of the territory in China belongs to no-damage grade. The moderately damaged areas constitutes to 42. 9%. The seriousdamage grade account for 3. 9%. It is concluded that the heavy destructive lands are caused by the cultivated land use of the secondary and tertiary industries. The next causes are forest destruction and soil erosion. The seriously damaged area are mostly distributed in the North China. The graphs of ecological damaged grade in China are also charted. They can directly reflect the level and distributive pattern of ecological damages in China.
